Was Masters of the Universe Allies and Enemies of Eternia worth buying?
Yes. The singles are worth more than it cost.
Masters of the Universe Allies and Enemies of Eternia (the non-foil edition) cost $29.99 at release. Its 6 cards are worth $48.19 today. That is 1.61× what you paid, in the months since it was released.
Foil: Yes. It cost $39.99, and its singles are worth $54.31 today, 1.36×.
That is a return over time, not a judgment about the day it launched: the release price is what it cost on release day and the singles value is what its cards are worth today. An older drop has had longer for its cards to move, which is why age is quoted alongside the multiple. It also does not account for inflation: a 1.3× return on a 2021 drop has lost some purchasing power that the same figure on a 2025 drop has not.
It is a question about buying it at release, which is when it was available at that price. Secret Lair drops sell for a limited window and then leave the store, so what a sealed copy trades for today is a different number this page does not track.

What is unusual about this drop
Sakashima the Impostor alone is 44.5% of what this drop’s singles are worth ($21.43 of $48.19), and its top three cards are 70.7% of it. Concentration like that is worth knowing before you buy, but across the whole Secret Lair catalogue it does not predict a good drop: plenty of top-heavy drops returned less than evenly spread ones.
The Secret Lair printings in this drop carry a 1.92× treatment premium, which is what they are worth against $25.14 for the cheapest ordinary printings of the same 6 cards. The median across the 66 drops released in 2026 is 2.42×, so this art is holding less of a premium than its 2026 siblings (0.79× the year’s median).
By what its singles are worth today, Masters of the Universe Allies and Enemies of Eternia is the 285th most valuable of the 411 Secret Lair drops with priced contents, and the 27th of the 66 released in 2026.
Was the foil worth the upcharge?
Masters of the Universe Allies and Enemies of Eternia sold in 2 versions, and they did not return the same amount. This is the comparison the two editions share a page for.
- Foil: $39.99 at release against $29.99 for the non-foil. Paying $10.00 more bought only $6.12 more in singles, so it did not come back.
What the same cards cost without the art
The 6 priced cards in this drop can be bought in their cheapest ordinary printings for about $25.14, against $48.19 for the Secret Lair versions. That difference is what you are paying for the treatment. The gameplay is identical, and every card here is legal in exactly the same formats either way.

How these numbers are worked out
The release price is what Wizards of the Coast charged for the drop when it was on sale. The singles total is the sum of TCGplayer market prices for the exact printings the drop shipped, not for ordinary copies of the same cards, which come to a different and usually much smaller number (shown above as the plain-copy comparison). The multiple is one divided by the other.
Two things it deliberately does not do. It does not price sealed copies: once a drop leaves the store its sealed price is set by the secondary market, and that is a different question from whether buying it at release paid off. And it does not adjust for inflation. The multiple is nominal, so a return earned over six years is not directly comparable to the same figure earned over one.
Card prices refresh weekly and this page is rewritten only when its numbers actually move, so the date above is the real one rather than today’s.
