Free for every Commander player

Tools, game tracking, and real stats for Commander players.

A free toolkit for Magic: The Gathering's most-played format: exact mana base math for your deck, a game logger that turns your pod's results into real win-rate statistics, and a life counter that logs the game when it ends. No paywalls, no bloat, no upsells.

Free card search, with full text, every printing and current prices. Or use the filters for color identity, type, set, rarity, mana value and price.

What Commander actually looks like at real tables

Every game logged on the site feeds an anonymous, public picture of the format as it's really played: win rate by turn order, the commanders and colors people actually run, and how games end. No names, no accounts, just the games.

Mana base math

Start with the calculator

The MTG mana base calculator is the tool that started the site. If you play Commander and want a straight answer for a specific deck, jump straight to the Commander mana base guide. It explains how the 99-card, singleton format changes the math, and it hands you numbers you can put in your list tonight. To check a finished list, paste it into the deck mana audit and get a spell-by-spell castability report.

Everything is calculated live in your browser. Nothing is estimated from a lookup table.

Precons and deck builds

Guides for the deck in front of you

Opened a precon? Every official Commander precon has a page with its full decklist and what its singles are worth, and most have a written upgrade guide that argues each cut and add from the list in the box. For Secret Lair, every drop is priced against what it cost new, at the printings actually in the box. And for a commander you have no deck for yet, the Commander deck builds give a full 100-card list at three brackets, from a budget version up to bracket 4.

Decks and collection

Build decks and track what you own

The free account is more than a place to keep games. The Commander deck builder imports from Moxfield, Archidekt and TappedOut and then grades what you brought in: castability spell by spell, a bracket floor, a nightly price, and each deck's real record from your logged games. The collection tracker holds what you own at printing and finish level, remembers what you paid for each card, and charts that against what it's worth now. The two are joined: a deck marked as built from your collection reserves its cards, so one copy can't be sleeved in three decks at once.

At the table

Keep score at the table

The Commander life counter runs in your phone's browser for two to six players, with commander damage per opponent, poison, undo and a screen that stays awake, and it works offline once loaded. When the game ends, one press of Log game saves it to your stats if you're signed in. If you aren't, it opens the game logger with the game already filled in. It works in any phone's browser tonight, and an Android app built on the same idea is coming soon.

The Pod Companion for Android

A Commander life counter app built for the whole table

One phone in the middle, two to six players, and every seat turned to face its owner. It keeps life, commander damage, counters and turns while you play, has Planechase and Archenemy built in, and ends every game with a real record of what happened.

It signs in with the same free account as this site, so games from the app land in the same log and feed the same stats.
