Commander game tracker

The free Commander game tracker for your pod

Every pod has the arguments: who actually wins the most, whether going first matters, which commander is secretly the problem. The Pod Companion's game tracker settles them. Log each EDH game in under a minute and get real win-rate statistics back. Free, private by default, and nothing behind a paywall.

  • Free, no premium tier
  • Only the logger needs an account
  • Private by default
The global stats page: games logged, distinct commanders, average game length and the most-played colors, above charts of win rate by turn order and colors across all games.

Two steps

Log a game in under a minute

The logging form is built around what you can actually remember after the game ends, not a turn-by-turn replay. The table goes in before the game, and the result goes in after it.

  • Who played

Two to six players, in turn order. Only you need an account. Everyone else is just a name, and your saved-player roster autocompletes your regular opponents.

  • What they played

A commander for each player, autocompleted against every card in Magic, partner pairs included. Pick one of your own decks for your seat and the game counts toward that deck's record too.

  • How it ended

The winner and how they won, every placement, and (if you like) what took each player out: combat damage, commander damage, poison, mill, or the classic concede-to-shuffle-faster.

  • The details worth keeping

Turn count, how long it took, final life totals, mulligans, a fun rating for each player and a notes field for the play everyone will still be talking about next week. All of it optional.

At the table

Or let the life counter fill it in

If the phone was already on the table, the life counter does the logging for you. It watches placements, final life totals, who went first and how long the game ran, then hands the lot to the log when the last player goes out.

  • Rematch in one click. It prefills the same table, so you only set the new placements.
  • Set it up before you shuffle. Save & exit keeps the players and commanders as a draft on this device, and you finish the log after the game.
  • Pods share one history. Tag a game to your pod and every member sees it, so one person logs each game. The pod gets a leaderboard, seasons and a Player of the Month out of it.
  • Your friends can claim their seats. Link a saved player to a friend's or podmate's account and they are invited to claim their seat when you save. They choose whether to accept, and a claimed game shows up in their own log and stats.

The web life counter works offline once loaded and needs no account. Sign in and its Game over sheet logs the game from right there.

The stats

A Commander stats tracker, not just a log

The log is the input. The output is the stats page your pod will actually argue over, built from your logged games and nothing else:

  • Win rate per player, per commander, and for every player and commander pairing.
  • How your games end: how you win, how you go out, and your fastest win.
  • Who you play against, head to head, with your best and worst matchups named.
  • Turn order and opening hands: wins by seat, and how often each player mulligans.
  • The colors you really play, next to the ones you think you play, plus average game length and final life.

It is honest about small samples, too. Any stat built on fewer than five games is flagged, rather than passing off three wins in three games as a 100% win rate that means something.

Every deck you log games with keeps a record of its own, on its Stats tab in the deck builder.

From every logged game

What the tracker has seen so far

Because turn order goes in with each game, your log answers the eternal one: does going first win games at your table? Across every pod on the site, the answer so far is on the global stats page. These are live numbers from every game logged here.

Privacy

Private by default, anonymous in aggregate

Your games are yours. Anything that leaves your log does so because you switched it on, or as an anonymous count.

  • Your log is yours

The games you log are visible to you and nobody else, unless you share them. Tag a game to a pod and every member sees it. A player who claims their seat sees that game in their own log.

  • Profiles are opt-in

A public player profile stays off until you turn it on. Friends you have accepted see only the sections you allow them, and your game history stays private unless you open it. A public deck does show its own record, and one switch per deck hides it.

  • Anonymous in aggregate

Logged games feed the public global Commander statistics as counts only: commanders, colors, turn order, placements and how players went out. Names, usernames, accounts and per-game dates never leave your log.

The Pod Companion for Android

An EDH game tracker that will follow you to the table

The website logger is half of the plan. The other half is The Pod Companion app: a life counter for two to six players that keeps the record while you play.

It signs in with the same free account as this site, so games you log here by hand and games the app keeps at the table land in one history. Start logging now and the record is already there when the app arrives.

FAQ

Is the Commander game tracker free?

Yes. Create a free account and log as many games as you like. All of the stats (win rate per commander, colors, turn order) are free too. Nothing sits behind a paywall, and there is no premium tier.

Can I log EDH games with players who don't have accounts?

Yes. Only the person logging the game needs an account. Everyone else at the table is recorded by name, and the tracker keeps a saved-player roster for your pod so regular opponents autocomplete and their history stays consistent even if you fix a spelling later.

Are my logged games public?

No. Your game log is private to your account by default, and a game is shared only where you share it. Tag it to a pod and that pod's members see it. Your profile shows friends you have accepted (and everyone, if you make it public) only the sections you allow, and your game history stays private until you open it. A public deck does show its own win record unless you switch that off. Logged games also feed the site's anonymous global statistics, but those never include player names, usernames, accounts, or per-game dates.

Does the tracker support formats other than Commander?

The tracker is built for Commander, and stats are never mixed across formats. Support for logging other formats may come later, but Commander pods are the focus.
